About

Greetings & Salutations! Or should I say, Hail! As you can probably already tell by the silly gif image over there, I tend to be a little silly myself. And I'm okay with that, no need for an intervention.

First, let me start off this "About" section with a bit of an introduction. My name is Tes, as far as anyone knows, and I am a work at home Mother to my two kiddos and.. I'm sure there are some animals around here somewhere as well as a husband. ;o) I'm an "Aries" and was born in the year of the "Rat". (See what I did there.. I just gave you my age.. now off you go.. go.. go go..). I've received my Bachelor's in Accounting (hey, hey.. hey.. HEY... I like numbers, deal with it) and I'm a research junkie. I mean, total complete junkie. I currently homeschool my kiddos (won't even go into the why's.. we'll just leave it at this; the local school system is a joke) and I work from home via this wonderful contraption that allows such a thing to exist.

I'm also, you guessed it, Asatru. Now, let's see if I can give a simple and to the point explanation of what that is. Ahem.. okay, here we go...
Asatru (Ah-sah-true) is a religion based upon the ancient peoples of Northern Germania. It is an attempt at a resurgence or reconstruction of ages old beliefs and religious groundings.
That.. pretty much sums it up, in a nutshell. Granted, that's not a full definition and the more you learn about it or the more you read this blog, the more you'll understand that, if you don't already. Let's suffice it to say that I wanted to start this blog as a record of not only my journey and understanding of this ancient path but also as a way to attempt to possibly help others who are finding the same challenges as I am when navigating these near-forgotten seas.
